Catholic Center for Studies and Media

On February 28, 2012, it was registered by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture and officially opened on April 25, 2012. It is affiliated with the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem through the Patriarchal Vicariate in Amman. It is a non-profit center that contributes to the development of the intellectual and media movement inside and outside Jordanian society.

The Center’s logo
  1. A dome very similar to the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican: This indicates the “Catholic” nature of the center, in a unifying sense, and not in the sense of limiting its interest to one church over another.
  2. Columns: They have a strong resemblance to the columns of Petra, the sandy, rocky city in Jordan, which is considered today one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This indicates the rich history of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in which the center was registered. It also indicates the rich history of Arab Christians in this region.
  3. The meeting of the dome and the columns: It indicates the dialogue between civilizations and cultures. The center's main feature is the value of human dialogue, which is the essence of media studies.
